Idaho income tax in 2026

Idaho taxes income above a small zero bracket at a flat 5.3% after the federal standard deduction.

House Bill 40 (2025) set the rate at 5.3%. The first $4,811 of Idaho taxable income ($9,622 joint or head of household) is not taxed. • 401(k): traditional contributions come out before Idaho income tax, as they do for federal tax.
