Paycheck inputs stay in your browser. The calculator does not send income, filing status, deductions, or location to a server to compute a result. Rate tables are static files. The arithmetic runs in the page.

There is no account and no email gate. The calculator does not set a tracking cookie for ads or analytics on calculation inputs.

What this browser may store

• lth-theme — light or dark theme, only after you use the theme control.
• lth-scenarios — named scenarios you save from the calculator. Optional; nothing is saved until you click Save.

If an older visit stored tth-theme or tth-scenarios, the page may migrate those once into the lth-* keys and then keep using the new names. Clearing site data for localtakehome.com removes them.

A shared link puts the inputs in the URL. That URL is yours to copy or not.

Ads, analytics, and fonts

Partner cards and one advertisement slot sit below the estimate, clearly labeled. They do not receive your salary, W-4 fields, or other calculation inputs. There is no analytics package wired to those inputs. Fonts are self-hosted.

If the site is hosted with ordinary server logs, those logs can include the address of a page, including a query string if you shared a link that contains pay. Don’t put a link with your salary into a channel you don’t trust.
