About
LocalTakehome
True take-home pay for where you actually live.
LocalTakehome is a private 2026 U.S. paycheck calculator. It names federal income tax, FICA, state tax, and local tax when you select a place — then shows the deposit. The math stays on your device.
Most paycheck tools bury the city or invent a flat local rate. The local-tax gap is the problem this product is built around: New York City is not “New York,” Philadelphia is not “Pennsylvania,” and most counties are not in any national calculator’s named list. LocalTakehome models a short list of published places and otherwise asks you for a custom percent rather than guessing.
There is no fake team page, no CPA badge, no invented user count, and no chat window pretending to be an advisor. Hairline rules, a large net, and a source under the line. Educational estimate only.
Corrections
There is no support inbox and no invented email address. Rate corrections belong on the methodology page, next to the sources. If you are adding a city for yourself, the local JSON file is the template: an id, a state, a method, a rate, a source URL, and a last-verified date.
Embed
A page can show the calculator without the site chrome by adding ?embed=1 to any calculator URL. The math is the same. The frame still runs in the visitor’s browser. Example:
<iframe title="LocalTakehome calculator" src="https://localtakehome.com/paycheck-calculator?state=TX&embed=1" width="100%" height="900" style="border:0"></iframe>
Do not wrap the frame in an email gate. The estimate is the product.
